Power8 Sprints is a new and exciting 350m sprint rowing event. The racing will see men’s and women’s crews from eight cities go head-to-head, in a knock-out competition to be crowned Power8 Sprints champion.
Crews from London, Oxford, Cambridge, Newcastle, Bristol, Manchester, Exeter and Nottingham will be represented at the inaugural event, on Sunday, 22 July in Bristol.
Crews will be formed from top club rowers who will race in eights, the blue riband event at the Olympic Games. It will be high-octane rowing, where technical skill combined with raw power will be critical to crossing the finish line first.
